Vancouver's Jackpot Digital Inc. concluded a busy week by announcing that it has secured a license to operate in the Ontario casino market.
Ontario Growth
Jackpot, which offers dealerless electronic poker and table games, announced yesterday that the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has granted the company a license as a registered Gaming Related Supplier in the province. This approval allows Jackpot to provide electronic table games to gaming venues in Ontario, including both casinos and other regulated establishments.
“This approval provides us with the opportunity to offer our top-tier electronic gaming systems to operators throughout all of Ontario, positioning us for further growth in one of the world’s most robust gaming markets,” said Jake Kalpakian, CEO of Jackpot Digital, in a written statement.
"We are excited to bring our innovative products to Ontario’s gaming community and continue our commitment to providing exciting, technology-driven entertainment experiences.”
Canadian Gaming: Jackpot Aims South
The company mentioned in the statement that it has received inquiries from casinos throughout Ontario and "plans to promptly connect with gaming operators."
The announcement on Wednesday that Jackpot had signed a letter of intent to provide two of its prominent Jackpot Blitz machines to PENN Entertainment’s Boomtown Casino & Hotel New Orleans followed closely on the heels of that news.
The Jackpot Blitz combines 4K touchscreen technology with card vending innovation that mimics real card gameplay, offering real-time monitoring of player statistics, bankroll, and bonuses. In addition to poker, participants can explore a collection of games such as Baccarat and Blackjack.
Dealer-Free Poker Technology
Boomtown Casino is situated 15 minutes away from the French Quarter in New Orleans, featuring 800 slot machines and video poker games, along with 30 gaming tables.
Every newly installed machine signifies monthly recurring revenue for Jackpot Digital.
Jackpot mentioned in the statement that it is pursuing further licensing applications in multiple jurisdictions across Canada and the U.S.
“We continue to experience significant demand for Jackpot Bitz across the United States and worldwide,” Kalpakian said. “We anticipate our momentum will continue to build through 2024 and beyond, as we acquire more licenses and new properties to our installation base.”
Jackpot has revealed physical installations in California, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Oregon, U.S. Virgin Islands, Washington, and Saskatchewan.
